THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME

Originally, the working name was Harry & Gates, inspired by time spent living in Harrogate, England. It felt personal, but it never fully clicked. That changed during a trip to Scotland, where we met a Highland cow named Honey.
Honey was impossible to ignore. She had personality, confidence, and a habit of breaking out of her pasture to wander where she pleased. She wasn’t chaotic, she was curious. She didn’t blend in, she stood out. And in a way, she perfectly captured what great content does: it escapes the fence, finds attention, and leaves an impression.
That moment made the name obvious. Honeycow stuck immediately, not because it sounded clever, but because it felt right. Everyone we shared it with remembered it, smiled, and asked about it. And that’s exactly what we aim to do for the brands we work with.
